TESTING

What tests are performed on the placental prior to release?  Alpha Tissue demands a very stringent testing of all placentas prior to our acceptance.  

• All donors are screened in accordance with the FDA guidelines
• Covid?  Donors must be show no sign of covid for the last 28 days
• Pre-partum care by a licensed physician
• Only healthy donors who are undergoing an elective C-section can qualify
• Physical examination and medical screening for infectious, maligant, neurological and auto-immune diseases and other exposures/habits
• Aseptic technique is employed during the recovery of the membrane
• Serological testing by a licensed laboratory and + 7 days after C-Section delivery
