BENEFITS OF AMNION

So, what are the benefits of amnion?  They would include:

• Anti-scarring (to minimize/reduce the scar)
• Anti-inflammatory (reduces swelling, redness and pain in the body)
• Antimicrobial (inhibiting the growth of microorganisms)

AMNION FOR CLINICAL USE

Is amnion a new product?  No.  Amniotic tissue has been used in surgical applications for an array of regenerative needs since the early 1900's.  Their success as membrane allografts has been well documented in numerous clinical applications as both biological dressings as well as a protective covering.
